About Vancouver

Vancouver (pronounced: [væn?ku?v?]) is a city in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It is part of the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD), which is the largest metropolitan area in western Canada and the third largest in the country. Vancouver is part of the larger Lower Mainland geographic region. A resident of Vancouver is called a "Vancouverite." --Wikipedia
